The heart of Turkey Toe. This historic log cabin was built by Chuck Kidder in 1936 and has been lovingly restored over decades. Still called the “Old Coffee Place” by locals, it's where the magic happens: gatherings, planning sessions, and unforgettable nights around the woodstove.

Turkey Toe works best for groups who want to actually connect — not just be in the same room. Construction teams, partner organizations, leadership off-sites, and AOC Master Facilitator events. Overnight groups of 6 to 20, Day Use up to 40. And the key to business is having as much fun as possible.

Builder Table members don't pay separately for the Summit, since it's part of membership. Everyone else can join a Summit seat or book an MFer Retreat directly.

When to Come
Turkey Toe sits at 8,000 ft, so the seasons shape the experience.
- • Golf season (about May–October): Wanch Golf, Day Use, hikes, and the full outdoor experience.
- • Shoulder & winter (November–April): fireside retreats, Homestead strategy sessions, sauna and cold plunge, snowy mountain views. Golf depends on the weather.
- • Sand Dunes runoff (usually late May–June): the creek only flows in good snow years.
What's Included
Every retreat includes private use of the property, the Homestead, the grounds, and the Turkey Toe team. Overnight retreats also include lodging, and every stay is set up by a Retreat Facilitator.
Not Included
Travel to and from the ranch, alcohol beyond hosted tastings, gratuity for staff, overflow lodging (Lamp Post Lodge and Westcliffe Inn book directly), and off-ranch excursion fees such as park entry.
A 50% deposit holds your dates, with the balance due 30 days before arrival. Cancel 60 or more days out for a full refund minus a processing fee. After that, the deposit converts to credit for a future stay.

A Night of Legends & Lead
Greg Gebben turns the Turkey Toe Saloon into a museum for an evening, walking guests through vintage revolvers and lever-action rifles and the Old West stories behind each one.

Signature Adventure
Great Sand Dunes Day Trip
North America's tallest dunes, framed by the Sangre de Cristo range, about 1.5–2 hours from the ranch. Climb the dunes in the morning, then cool off at the base. In good snow years, Medano Creek flows from late May into June and turns the base into a mountain beach. The rest of the year it's dry.
Good to know
Start early, because the sand gets hot and the wind picks up by afternoon. There's very little shade. Bring water, layers, sun protection, and shoes that come off easily.
